History buffs will be charmed by the province’s capital, Mafikeng, where they can visit the town’s museum and explore the past, from the Bushmen to the Anglo Boer War.
For nature lovers there is the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, home of the big 5. Set in a volcano crater, the nature reserve is home to a rich and diverse flora and fauna, and is popular with game lovers and birdwatchers alike.
