On the east coast of South Africa, Kwazulu Natal is the home of the proud and mighty Zulu nation. A nation of warriors in days gone by, the Zulus ruled this part of the country with an iron spear, today however, the province is a multicultural melting pot where diversity comes together to form a colourful and vibrant part of South Africa.

The province’s capital city is Durban. A rich and exciting city, known as the Miami of Africa, Durban is blessed with great weather all year round, making it a very popular holiday destination for foreigners and locals, who flock to the city’s beaches to catch some rays and bathe in the warm Indian Ocean that laps the shores of the province.

Pietermaritzburg, a university town, and place of historic significance, is the gateway to the Midlands, the Drakensberg and the historic Anglo Boer War battlegrounds of Rourke’s Drift and Isanadlhwana.

Kwazulu Natal offers visitors some of the finest golfing in the country, and with fabulous year round weather there’ll be no rain on the 18th. There is also a variety of sporting activities on offer in the province including scuba diving, deep sea fishing an surfing, as well as hiking, game viewing and bird watching. There are game parks, world heritage sites and the world famous sardine run, making Kwazulu Natal a very popular destination for nature lovers.
